4 Part Prayer

Relationship
God loves you and He desires to have a personal an intimate relationship with you. He wants you to come to Him with your fears, hurt, questions, and cries of help. Having a relationship with God is easy, and it begins with communications. You can start by just tell Him how you feel. In your mind, talk to Him the way you would talk to someone you know truly loves you, cares about you, believes in you, wants only the best for you, will never leave you, will never betray you, will listen to you, and wants to spend eternity with you. You never have to wonder if God loves you, He promises that He loves you.
God's Love
Just like a loving parent loves their child - their own flesh and blood - God loves you. The Bible says God knows every hair on your head. That is how intimately He knows you. He is so interested in you, He knows how many individual pieces of hair you have on your head. Just like it is healthy and reassuring for a child to share their fears, needs, and dreams with a loving mother or father, it is healthy for you to share your fears, needs, and dreams with God. Just as a loving parent will never betray their children’s confidence or hurt them, God will never betray or hurt you.
Like all new relationships, or the rekindling of old friendships, strong bonds are established and grow through communication. With God, communications can be verbal, and/or, within your mind - your inside voice.
Prayer
Prayer is as simple as: “God, I love the way you created the earth. I am sorry for doubting that you exist, but I have felt alone for so long. Help me to feel you and know you exist. Thank you for placing me on earth in the United States, a free and prosperous nation, where I can worship freely. Please help me with my lack of faith in you. The are times when I doubt you exist. Please help me to overcome my unbelief. Amen
ACTS
The above prayer has 4 parts. Those 4 parts are Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, and supplication (requests). The 4 parts are easy to remember with the acronym ACTS.
A - Adoration
C - Confession
T - Thanksgiving
S - Supplication
For the above prayer the acronym looks something like the following:
A - Praise God for something (creating earth)
C - Confess something (lack of faith/belief)
T - Thank God for something (Being an American)
S - Request for something (help with unbelief)
Do You Pray?
Prayer is really simple. Prayer is cathartic. Just like any good relationship, communication is vitally important. The more you talk to God, the more He will reveal Himself to you. He loves you and only wants the absolute best for you. Do you Pray?
