How do I get closer to God?

God is love. If we know love, we know God. Love was not what I thought it was most of my own life. Learning what love really was drew me closer to God than I have ever been. This is why I wrote “The Right Fight -How To Live A Loving Life.” I’m telling you the truths in that book radically changed my life forever. It took me off the path of self-destruction and put me on the path that leads to Jesus and fruitfulness. Please read it if you have not already, but first read God’s Word. Even if it’s just a little bit every day. It’s okay if you don’t fully understand it. Keep reading pieces and ask God for revelation. He won’t withhold it. Love perseveres. Persevere in reading His word. 1 John 4:7-12,”Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent His only Son into the world, so that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and His love is perfected in us.”
