How to Find The Love of Your Life

You’ve got to live a loving life. That’s the only way to get it done. Love follows the truth wherever it takes it.

There are seven things that love is. One of those seven things is the truth. If we are unwilling to follow it because of what it may cost us, we are not going to find the love of our life.

It’s loving that leads us to the love of our life. This is what I mean by that. If you are with someone who is selfish, there are two problems: not just their selfishness, but the other problem is that you are failing to love them. You’re not doing what’s truly best for them. It’s never best for them to be selfish.

If you really love them you are going to tell them, you are going to address it and you are going to do whatever you can to help them change. If they are unwilling to change you are not going to help them keep being selfish. You find the love of your life by loving the people you are around.

You end up with selfish people because you love yourself. You are afraid of losing someone or what it may cost you, if you address the truth. You are afraid, not for their sake, but for your sake.

Love does what is best for you without regard for me. It just gets protected in the process. And it gets led to the love of its life.

1 Corinthians 13:4-7

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Trust God’s Word, no matter what.
