How to know an expert when you see one

It’s incredibly important that we depend on dependable people when we need help-and we all need help. When I’m looking for a true expert, I’m looking for someone who will ask me lots of questions and not assume anything is true....even if they are sure they already know the answer. I’m looking for someone who is less worried about how smart they appear, and more worried about helping make sure I understand the simplicity of their expertise. I’m looking for someone who is more worried about finding the truth than being right. Some of the greatest investors in the world will tell you....if you can’t explain why an investment makes perfect sense with a pencil on the back of an envelope, they know you don’t know what you’re talking about. Everything is simple at its core. If we understand love, we understand God. If we don’t understand love, we don’t understand God. This is why we must understand love.
