What does it mean to trust God?

Trusting God is not equal to just trusting everything will work out. It also doesn’t mean “all things happen for a reason.” All things do happen for a reason, but many times the reason is our selfishness or someone else’s selfishness, or the effects of living on a fallen earth. God’s Word doesn’t say all things happen for a reason. It says all things work together for the good of those who love Him. In order to trust God, we must first know what He says, then fight to do what He says, and then trust what He says is best for us. Acting on God’s Word is the most trustworthy thing we can ever do. Read His Word, believe His Word, and act on His Word! That’s trusting God. Romans 8:28,”And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose.” John 17:17,
“Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth.”
