Why Does God Let Some Live and Let Others Die?

Why Does God Let Some Live and Let Others Die?

Posted by Kenny Vaughan on 7th Sep 2020

This is a question I often get in direct messages.

You know, if we have a question that we can’t find a true answer to, sometimes it’s worth going back and making sure we’re not asking a broken question -- in other words, we are not asking a question that is not true. In this case, that’s what we are doing.

God doesn’t let some live and let others die. We all die. It’s not God’s fault.

I think God had a hard choice to make a long time ago. Would he allow love to exist, which would require that he give us free will? Or would he control our lives, and never give us the chance to love?

I thank God that he gave us a chance to love. Unfortunately, that led to sin, that led to death.

Then God fixed that when he gave us Jesus, so that even after sin and death, we could have life again.

If you have a question you’re struggling to answer, make sure you dig deeper into the question. We have an enemy, and I prefer to call him Beelzebub instead of Satan, because it sounds weaker to me. Beelzebub is the god of lies. Lies lead to bondage, and truth leads to freedom! Dig for the truth, and if you have any questions haunting you, reply to this email with them. They have probably haunted me too, and I may have realized my own folly and discovered an answer.

John 3:16-17
For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him.

John 8:32
Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.

Trust God’s Word, no matter what.

Keep your eyes on the horizon.

Laus Deo,

Kenny
