Can You Do All Things Through Christ Who Strengthens You?

Can You Do All Things Through Christ Who Strengthens You?

All things? Everything? Yes. Once born again, the redeemed receives the everlasting indwelling Holy Spirit. Through Him each is strengthened. Through Him contentment can be achieved. He is the third person of the Holy Trinity. Not an “it,” a person. The three persons – God the Father – God the Son – God the Holy Spirit. One divine Person.

The Bible teaches that the Holy Spirit is all-powerful and present everywhere. The Holy Spirit teaches us and takes us deeper into God’s truth as we live our Christian life.
The Holy Spirit sanctifies the redeemed. He teaches, guides, and clarifies the living Word. The Holy Spirit gives new life. He convicts us of sin. He also lives in us.

God said, “I will put my Spirit in you. I will come to live in you.” (Ez. 37:14). The redeemed have received a spirit of courage and strength (Phil.4:13). They are not alone.

Through the divine workings of the Trinity, the believer is given contentment in life no matter how difficult it may become (Phil. 4:11). And in His strength they are able to come alongside others in need. In His strength they have courage to face the trials that come with living in a fallen world. With the LORD you can face another day no matter what may come your way.

Apostle Paul learned to be content in all areas of his life. He remained malleable, teachable, and trusted in Jesus.  Paul's life of sacrifice, his boldness to share Christ's death, resurrection, and ascension into Heaven, and his teaching that faith and obedience to Christ are the way to eternal life in Heaven strengthen and encourage all who believe.

That strength is for the taking for those who are willing to turn their life over to Jesus. Pride, unbelief and sin will bring discontent in good times and bad. With Jesus there are many moments of contentment to grab hold of through His strength.
