Did you know that if someone hates you, it’s never because of who you are. You can make it hard for people to like you. You can make it very difficult for people to love you, but you can’t make them hate you. Jesus told us to love our enemies. Believe it, or not: the one thing that is most likely to lead someone to hate us is loving them because love speaks the truth; and if someone is hateful, a lot of times they don’t want to hear the truth. John 15:20 Remember what I told you: A servant is not greater than his master. If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also.
