How to become a slave unto yourself

When we are slaves unto ourself, we are the only one who can make the decision to set ourself free. That decision is to love Jesus...who is love. Every time I hear someone say respect me and I will respect you, I ask them if they realize they are giving the wheel of their lives to others. Fear loves others who love it. It’s really not loving anyone but itself. It’s giving to get. That is manipulation -not love. Love-loves others as it wants to be loved, not as it is loved. Matthew 22:36-40,”And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.”
