To All the Tough Guys:

There was a guy. He had a tattoo. He said, “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil because I am the “baddest” man in the valley.” He had a friend he thought was a little tougher than he was, that was gone in an instant. Then he realized he wasn’t so tough. I am not saying that a man shouldn’t be tough—shouldn’t be strong. I am saying that the only think as weak as a passive man is a prideful one. If we want true strength, we are going to find it in surrendering. I am saying, that at 56 years old, I realize that all the tough guys I ever knew have either checked out early, eventually surrendered or they are miserable, at this point in life. If you want to know true strength, you will find it in weakness. You will find it by surrendering your life to Jesus Christ. Think about it.
