What Does It Mean When Someone Shows A lot of Empathy, but they are as Cold as Ice?

It could mean that their empathy wasn’t sincere. They just wanted to be empathetic because that makes them look good, and they didn’t have true empathy for you.

Or it could mean they really did have true empathy for you and what you went through., and that because they love you and their empathy is from their love, they want you to do something different. But you are not doing it. So, they are making sure you understand they don’t approve of what you are doing, because they love you.

So it may mean that the empathy was fake and they just love themselves--they don’t love you.

Or maybe it means they love you and their empathy was sincere.

Think about it. Trust God’s Word no matter what, because His Word is truth.

 Keep your eyes on the horizon.
