What Gives You the Strength to Persevere?
The world is going to tell you that if you love what you do, you will persevere and if you don’t love what you do, you are going to burn out. But, that’s not the truth.
There are people all over the place who don’t even like what they do, but they are persevering.
Other people actually love what they do, but they burn out or they quit.
The strength to persevere is not in what you do but in why you do what you do.
If you do it for yourself, to prove someone wrong or for pride, you are not going to make it. If you do make it, you are going to tear everything up along the way.
But, if it’s for God and others, it’s love and love always perseveres for others.
Think about it.
James 1:2-4
Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
Trust God’s Word no matter what.
Keep your eyes on the horizon.
